My name is Fabiola Alondra, I was born in Mexico City and have lived in different cities including Milan and London. I am currently based in New York. I co-own Fortnight Institute, an unconventional art gallery and bookshop, with my friend Jane Harmon in the East Village, on East 4th St.

Favorite Mexican dish?

TACOS! My favorite Taqueria is an all VEGAN Taco Truck in Mexico City called Por Siempre Vegano in Colonia Roma.

Mexico's best kept secret?

Those perfect little magic towns that tourists haven’t yet discovered and vegan Mexican food!

Favorite quote?

Hangover cure?

I don’t drink very much, but I would say water and spicy food!

I don’t know…everything!

I have a few favorite accounts to follow: One of my favorite artists is Carmen Winant (she was the inaugural exhibition at Fortnight Institute). I love the found images she posts and uses in her work. Her account name is @carmen.winant  For more powerful women and instagram accounts I like @the.wing And I follow many library instagram accounts, including @themorganlibrary – one of my favorite places to visit in NYC.
