Self described as a normal girl born and raised in Mexico City, who loves to travel.
Teté quit her job in 2016 to start a travel blog, she found a good way to start traveling by becoming an Au Pair (live in nanny) in the US, where it gave her a lot of free time to travel.
She's been in almost all of the "must" cities in the US (New York, Chicago, LA, Miami, Las Vegas, Hawaii, etc...) and also in some latin-countries (Cuba and Costa Rica).
Of course Teté has traveled to many places of Mexico such as the Riviera Maya and Puerto Vallarta.
Teté has an innate talent to showcase these destinations in a way that propels you to book your next trip right away, she gives amazing reviews and recommendations of the coolest spots, where to stay, what to eat, where to go out and the highlights of each place.
We asked Teté our quintessential 7 questions and this is what she told us:
Favorite Mexican dish?
This is a hard one! I can't pick just one: Pozole, Tacos, Tamales, Chilaquiles, Chile en Nogada, Sopa Azteca... ok, let's stop.
Mexico's best kept secret?
I just came back from the Riviera Maya and I would say all the Mayan communities are amazing, La Biosfera de Sian Ka'an, prehispanic food, Holbox, the Jashita hotel in Tulum... there's a list of places I could name right now but I would never finish this, so I hope you get the idea or check my highlights on Instagram.
"Se compran colchones, tambores, refrigerados, estufas, lavadoras, microondas o algo de fierro viejo que vendaaaaaan". (Mexican "jingle" played by a truck who buys used stuff and goes around the city all day long)
Consome and Tacos de barbacoa (broth soup and lamb tacos).
Your best skill?
Singing with the mariachi!
What do you wish you could find from Mexico in New York?
Consome and Tacos de Barbacoa (*see hangover cure)
